CASE OF 6 BOTTLES
Fruits for this wine come from vineyards in the towns of Maschito, Irsina and Acerenza on the slopes of Mount Vulture, an extinct volcano, and highst mountain in Basilicata. Soils in this area are volcanic and rich in clay, calcium, nitrogen and tuff. Vineyards are planted at an altitude of 500 – 600 meters above sea level and all south west facing. The vines are Guyot trained and on average 25-30 year old. The long slow growing season, due to the high altitude of the vineyards, ensures that Vulture is one of the last areas in Italy to harvest, so late ripening native grapes such as Greco, Fiano and Aglianico are ideally suited this area.
Pale lemon in colour, with perfumes of tropical fruit and a touch of vegetal notes. Rich yet fresh with a lime zest character, which comes from the Greco fruit, balancing the richness.
