Tenuta Ulisse, a modern expression of a centuries-old tradition of passion and dedication to the land, is one of Abruzzo’s premier winemaking estate. It has aggressively dived into the enormous potential of Abruzzo’s unique terroir and ancient varieties by placing a contemporary spin on indigenous grapes such as Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Trebbiano D’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Passerina e Cococciola.
 
The deep dark red Amaranta Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOP impresses on the nose with notes of plum, cherry jam, tobacco, cocoa and balsamic notes, reminiscent of coniferous forest. On the palate, a sweet start. The wine is also balanced, with wonderfully integrated tannins.

The wine is matured in new French oak barrels for more than 6 months. A wonderfully intense wine of the premium range of Tenuta Ulisse. The 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo shows in this wine its entire class, elegance and flavor depth. Enjoy with hearty meat dishes, risotto, pizza, roasts and medium aged cheese.
