This wine comes from the Zapallar Vineyard, like the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. It is only produced in years where Montes is satisfied that the quality of the Syrah grapes is good enough to meet their high standards. The Zapallar Vineyard’s climate mean the ripening season is very long and therefore the grapes have a vibrant acidity, good flavor and concentration and spiciness.
