The 70 hectare vineyard is spread across sunny south-facing slopes, ensuring consistent ripening of the fruit as well as excellent drainage. The soils are clay and limestone and the vines are on average 30 years old. Unusually for this fertile region, lower yields are encouraged by pruning more severely, which in turn brings a greater concentration to the wine. The approach at Duffour Père et Fils is very much based on quality, rather than quantity.
A quality driven approach in this family run vineyard leads to a classic, great quality wine. The traditional grape varieties of Colombard, Gros Manseng and Ugni Blanc are expertly blended to give vibrant citrus and exotic fruit with an aromatic finish
