CASE OF 6 BOTTLES
Château Le Crock is a ‘Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel’ property in Saint-Estèphe, sandwiched between Second Growths Château Montrose and Château Cos d‘Estournel. Owned by the Cuvelier family since 1903, the property benefits from the same scrupulous management as their other family estates, Château Léoville Poyferré and Château Moulin Riche. Chief oenologist Isabelle Davin oversees the winemaking at all three.
The second wine of Château Le Crock, ‘Château La Croix’ Saint-Estèphe, is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, sourced from younger vines within the estate. It is aged in used French oak for 12 months, creating an approachable wine defined by expressive notes of red fruit, enhanced by a hint of sweet spice and velvety tannins on the palate.
Deep ruby with purple highlights, this Saint-Estèphe has an elegant nose of ripe plum with fine toasty notes. These flavours carry onto the palate, which is structured and balanced. A precise acidity, coupled with promising tannins, reaches right through to the long, lingering finish.
