The Laurinya of du Château Lauriga belongs tort Domaines Paul Mas but is a real Château and here a single vineyard wine is made called the Laurinya. The Carignan, Grenache, Syrah grapes come from the famous Sioures vineyard, where the vines are between 25 and no less than 102 years old. The soil consists of clay, limestone and stones. The grapes are vinified separately. The fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and is followed by peeling. The wine ages 10 to 12 months in French and American oak. In the glass, the wine is deep garnet red with in the nose fresh but also sultry red fruit, liquorice and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is actually surprisingly supple at first but with fine tannins but then becomes subtly smoky. This is the top model of the Chateau and besides the content there is also a lot of attention paid to the trim. The wine is in a fantastic beautiful bottle which is a jewel on the table.
 
Color: Bright garnet color to deep red.
Nose: A nose of ripe red fruits, jammy, around a note of liquorice, with a touch of sweet spices.
Palate: A round and well-balanced attack, coated tannins, as well as some notes of roasting on the finish.
Food and wine pairing: Serve ideally at 16 ° C, accompanied by cheeses, meats in sauce, stews and other game.
