This 30 year old vineyard directly neighbours the Fronsac AOC and is planted with 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques are used with partial ageing in oak barrels to bring smoothness and elegance to this wine.
 
Lovely ripe cassis fruit and plenty of it with some warm woodspice, very approachable but still proper claret. The palate is medium-bodied and structured with round, warm fruit and a velvety finish.
 
A versatile food wine - try with charcuterie, hard farmhouse cheeses, as well as pork, lamb or beef.
