Château Belleverne's Gamay vines grow on siliceous clay on gentle slopes. Whole bunches, sourced from a single domaine, are put through carbonic maceration - the process by which bright, fruity Beaujolais wines are traditionally made.
 
Appealing with lots of depth of fruit and concentrated aromas of ripe raspberry, soft summer fruits with a herby, savoury layers.
 
This Beaujolais' fresh, herbaceous core is wonderful matched with strongly flavoured savoury dishes such as dried meats, liver and onions and mature hard cheeses.
